A SHAMAN'S
TALE
SOUND DESIGN
A Shaman's Tale is an animated short film that weaves together consciousness exploration, Indigenous wisdom, and transformative sound design. Created by filmmaker Jules Guérin and sonically redesigned by Dan Hawryluk, the film guides viewers through a profound shamanic journey.
The redesign incorporates Robert Monroe's pioneering "Gateway Tapes" consciousness research, Four Tet's ethereal musical compositions, and authentic Shipibo Icaros performed by Maestro Ricardo Amaringo from Peru's Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual.
